Our Portfolio Service provides clients with vital valuations and histories of their investments, either via our Secure Client Access site or through hard copy documents sent to clients. A typical portfolio may contain a wide variety of investment instruments, including PEPs, ISAs, Fixed Interest Securities, Investment Trusts, Unit Trusts, SIPPs as well as the core Equity Investments.
The Havelock Hunter Stockbrokers Ltd valuation clearly outlines which investments you hold, together with any associated history. Clients find this information essential when keeping track of the many company and capital reorganisations, name changes and scrip dividends.
The Portfolio Service is available to our Advisory, Discretionary and Execution Only clients and can also be grouped to other family members or sub accounts. Although the vast majority of our clients keep their investments registered in our Nominee Account, it is also possible for us to maintain a portfolio where the investments are certificated and registered in the client’s own name. In these instances, clients are still required to have a working involvement with the portfolio, as any communications relating to corporate actions will be sent to them directly by the company in which they are investing.
Clients registered to use the Secure Client Site can access their portfolios on screen. Clients who do not wish to use this service are able to request valuations over the telephone or by post and will be sent documents by first class return post or by fax immediately.
Whether you prefer to use the secure site or receive hard copy valuations, you will still receive the formal Havelock Hunter Stockbrokers Ltd valuation pack at the financial year-end, as well as an interim report usually despatched in October. The report outlines the performance of your investments and schedules income received from either interest or dividend payments.
Clients using the Nominee Service will find the Consolidated Tax Voucher invaluable in preparing their annual tax return. This document outlines the income received by dividend or interest payment throughout the year and a schedule clearly presents the transactions and gains/losses established. Clients who already use an accountant for these purposes will hopefully notice a significant fee saving, as most of the laborious work involved in preparing the annual return will already have been compiled in this document. Havelock Hunter Stockbrokers Ltd is happy to liase directly with Accountants and Tax Advisers on behalf of clients, where a suitable letter of authority has been put in place.
